Different Shoe Storage Solutions
Today’s shoes are usually designed for a specific purpose. You do not wear the same pair when acting as best man for your best friend’s wedding as when you are out running. You will wear another pair when you go to an informal bar for a mug of beer. If you also play golf or go bowling, that means another pair of special purpose shoes.
It is for these reasons that you need some furniture or system to keep your various shoes in order. Fortunately, there are several shoe storage solutions you can choose from.
There are shoe organizers of different designs that hang either from a wall or at the back of your bedroom door. Some use pockets where your shoes are inserted vertically, while others have horizontal cubbyholes. There are also cubbyholes that rest on the floor.
Shoe closets are also available. These look like ordinary closets except that the spaces in between the shelves are only wide enough to accommodate shoes. There are, of course, variations of this design.
Another ingenious solution is the shoe storage bench on which you can sit and where you can store your footwear. This dual purpose furniture also has various designs.
There is also a shoe chest that can be stored under your bed. A good model of this chest is the transparent type allowing you to see which shoes are stored in it.
