My Precious Diamond Ring
As the saying goes, ‘Diamonds are girl’s best friend’ is true at least for me. I fancy the way the look and the way they make me feel. They make me feel so precious whenever I wear them. My husband knows that I am a fan of diamonds. During our engagement, he has given a 3 carat diamond ring. It is indeed one of my priced possessions. I have always kept it in safety vault inside our room. Aside from the cost of the diamond ring, it is important because of its sentimental value. It symbolizes the love that my husband and I have for each other.
Last night, I heard a glass shattered in the middle of the night. I woke up my husband and asked him to accompany me downstairs to see what happened. We looked around but we saw no sign of shattered glass. When we went back to our room, I was shocked to find out that our safety vault was forcibly opened. I was in tears because I lost my precious diamond ring. A week after, my husband surprised me with a brand new 3 carat diamond ring. I was speechless because I did not know how he can afford in that in just a week. He explained to me that after he bought the diamond ring, he applied for property insurance. After reporting what happened he got an insurance claim and he decided to just add a bit more money from his savings and bought the diamond ring. I was in really happy.
